Salsa the Pichón is a vibrant trio that unites international musicians from diverse backgrounds to deliver a rich and dynamic musical experience. Their repertoire spans a wide spectrum of Cuban and Latin styles, including bolero, bachata, rumba, mambo, son, timba, and, of course, salsa.

At the heart of Salsa the Pichón are Jorge Martinez Galán (Cuba) and Leslie Lopez (Puerto Rico), driven by a shared mission: to celebrate and revive the musical heritage of Cuban and Latin traditions. Their inspiration draws from legendary artists such as Celia Cruz, Oscar D’León, Compay Segundo, Los Van Van, Buena Vista Social Club, Marc Anthony, and Grupo Niche, as well as the timeless roots of La Vieja Trova Santiaguera.

The trio performs with remarkable versatility, playing a wide range of instruments including piano, guitar, baby bass or double bass, and percussion such as congas and bongos. The result is an authentic Cuban and Latin party atmosphere infused with contemporary influences.
