Zandkustenaar

The Sand Sorcerer is a unique artist who brings stories to life using sand. His journey began in 2008 when he first appeared on TV with a magical children’s series. The show was a success and aired in several countries. Later, the Efteling invited him to recreate famous fairy tales using sand art.

In 2012, his show, Fairy Tales of Sandman Klaas Vaak, was nominated for a Kidscreen Award in New York. He also created The Shining Sand of Bethlehem, which became an annual Christmas TV tradition. The Sand Sorcerer continued his success by working with orchestras and well-known artists like Janine Jansen and Alain Clark.

Even King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima joined him for a special sand art performance in 2014. With each performance, the Sand Sorcerer amazes audiences by transforming simple grains of sand into captivating stories.
