Mr. Bowi is the alter ego of Pascal Bouberg Wilson. This highly talented all-around DJ has gained extensive experience over the years playing a wide variety of music styles, including lounge, house, and dance music. He also knows his classics and today’s music.
Mr. Bowi learned his craft in the vinyl era, when “real DJing skills” were still the order of the day. Over time, he has developed his skills with modern technology, allowing him to DJ with devices such as CD players, USB drives, laptops, and even wirelessly via an iPad. He now runs a DJ school in Haarlem, a school that has attracted many new talents.

Background information

From the moment he put his first “Turn Up the Base” cassette tape into his Walkman in the late ’80s, he knew his future lay in music! He quickly began searching for a platform to share his music with the world.

As an all-rounder, Mr. Bowi plays all styles and specializes in jazz, lounge, disco, 80s and 90s, dance classics, and current hits (Top 40). Mr. Bowi has experience performing with live artists including saxophonists, trumpet players, and singers, and he adapts his music accordingly by playing songs with minimal vocals or instruments, allowing the live artists to shine.

Mr. Bowi plays music that appeals to all ages and knows how to address any generation gaps that may exist among the guests at a given party. He tailors his music precisely to the client’s preferences and, if requested, requests a top 10 list of songs and artists that should definitely be played at the party. This also serves as a good benchmark for tailoring the rest of the music.

Mr. Bowi’s broad musical background makes him a master of the importance of playing the right music at the right occasion. Having organized his own events at a variety of venues, in addition to DJing, Mr. Bowi understands that all aspects must be in balance for the best possible result at a party, such as the atmosphere through the right music, volume, lighting, and equipment.
